How to Check Your Bet Slip: Status, Bet ID and Settlement
Check whether a bet was accepted, open, settled, void or missing. Find the bet ID, compare the receipt with the rules and know when to contact support.
A third-party page cannot confirm that a private bet exists simply from a generic search. If your query includes a specific bookmaker name, use that operator's official app, website or support channel. Do not enter account credentials or a full ticket image into an unrelated checker.
How to check your bet slip in 60 seconds
- Sign in through the operator's official domain or app.
- Open My Bets, Open Bets, Settled Bets or Bet History.
- Find the receipt or bet ID from the confirmation shown after placement.
- Match the event, market, selection, stake and accepted odds.
- Open each selection to see whether it is open, won, lost, void, cancelled or still awaiting settlement.
- If the result looks wrong, open the sport rules for that exact market before contacting support.
bet365's current placing guide says a successful bet produces a confirmation receipt showing the selection, stake and potential return. Betfair says its bet receipt and Betfair ID can be found in My Bets by opening the detailed selection view.
What should a valid bet receipt show?
| SPEC | ★ What to verify | Possible mismatch |
|---|---|---|
| Bet ID Receipt reference | A unique identifier tied to the accepted bet. | A share code or ticket code may not be the same as the internal bet ID. |
| Selection What you backed | Team, player, outcome, handicap or total exactly as accepted. | A similar market can use a different line or time period. |
| Odds Accepted price | The price confirmed on placement, not the current live price. | The price may have changed while the selection was in the betslip. |
| Stake Amount risked | Total stake and, for each-way or system bets, the unit structure. | An each-way stake or multiple can cost more than one displayed unit. |
| Potential return Not guaranteed | The return shown if every required condition is met. | Voids, dead heats, deductions or partial cash out can change the final return. |
| Placed time Acceptance record | When the operator accepted the bet and the market state at that point. | A screenshot time and the operator's acceptance time can differ. |

What do common bet-slip statuses mean?
Open means settlement is not complete. The event may not have started, may still be live or may be awaiting official data.
Won means the operator settled the accepted market as successful. Compare the credited return with the stake, odds and any multiple adjustments.
Lost means the selection failed under the market rule. A later real-world event does not matter if it fell outside the accepted period.
Void means the selection is treated as having no winning or losing effect under the relevant rule. A single void leg in a multiple is commonly removed and the combined odds recalculated, rather than the whole slip being refunded. Check the operator's multiple-bet rule.
Cancelled can indicate the operator cancelled the bet under its terms. This is different from a user merely removing a selection before placement.
Suspended describes a market state, not necessarily the final bet result. Operators suspend live markets while important events are checked.
How do I check a bet slip number?
Use the number only on the operator that issued it:
- Identify the operator logo and official domain printed or shown on the receipt.
- Sign in to the account or open the operator's official ticket-checking function if it offers one.
- Enter the code exactly, preserving leading zeros and letters.
- Match the returned event and stake before trusting the result.
- If no record appears, contact that operator and provide the number through its official support channel.
Do not assume every visible number is a bet ID. A receipt can show a booking code, share code, transaction reference, barcode number and internal bet ID. Betfair, for example, labels its support reference as the Betfair ID and shows it at the bottom of the expanded bet receipt.
How to check whether a bet was settled correctly
Start with the market, not only the match result.
A football team can win after extra time while a 90-minute match-result bet loses because the score was level at the end of normal time. Betfair's 90-minute guide explicitly separates normal time plus stoppage time from extra time. Qualification and trophy markets can use a different period.
Use this settlement trace:
- Event: Is it the correct match, race or fixture?
- Market: Was it match result, qualification, handicap, total, scorer or another market?
- Line: Was the accepted handicap or total the one you are checking?
- Period: Full match, normal time, a half, set, quarter or interval?
- Participant: Did participation rules apply to a player or runner?
- Official result: Which source does the operator name for settlement?
- Special rule: Was there a void, dead heat, retirement, abandonment, Rule 4 deduction or cash out?
Potential return is not a promise that the displayed amount will always be credited. It assumes the accepted selections win under the rules and can change when a leg is void, a dead heat reduces a payout or a partial cash out has already returned part of the position.
How to check an accumulator or multiple bet
Open the detailed view and inspect every leg separately. One unsettled leg can keep the whole multiple open. One void leg can reduce the multiple to the remaining selections. One losing leg normally loses the multiple unless a specific promotion says otherwise.
| SPEC | ★ Typical effect | Verify on receipt |
|---|---|---|
| One leg open | The complete multiple remains open. | Start time, live status and settlement delay. |
| One leg void | That leg is commonly removed and the combined price recalculated. | Operator multiple rules and the new return. |
| One leg lost | The multiple normally loses. | Any valid insurance or second-chance terms applied at placement. |
| Cash out used | The receipt can show a completed or partly remaining position. | Cash-out time, amount and residual stake. |

Why is my bet missing?
Check these causes before assuming it was deleted:
- you are signed into a different account or regional site;
- the bet is under Open, Settled, Exchange or another product tab;
- the date filter excludes the placement or settlement date;
- the selection was added to the slip but never confirmed;
- the bet was unmatched, expired or cancelled on an exchange;
- the operator is experiencing a display delay; or
- the receipt belongs to a retail channel with a separate ticket checker.
Check the account balance and transaction record separately. Betfair's current profit-and-loss guide explains that open bets are not included in settled profit and loss, and that deposits and withdrawals belong to payment history rather than betting profit and loss.
What to send operator support
Provide:
- bet ID or receipt number;
- event and market;
- placement date and approximate time;
- stake and accepted odds;
- the status shown;
- a concise explanation of the expected rule; and
- a redacted screenshot if requested through the official support channel.
Do not send your password, two-factor code, full payment-card number or a complete identity document in a public message. Keep the original receipt until the query is closed.
If your question is about a football market, the next goal guide and post and crossbar guide show how small wording differences can change settlement.
Gambling should not be used to solve financial problems. Do not place another bet to compensate for a delayed or disputed settlement. Use the responsible gambling guide for limit and support options.

FAQ
How do I check my betslip?
Sign in to the operator that accepted the bet, open My Bets or Bet History, and match the bet ID with the confirmation receipt. Check the event, selection, accepted odds, stake, period and status.
Can I check a bet slip online with the slip number?
Only through the issuing operator's official account, app or ticket checker. There is no universal database that lets an unrelated site validate every operator's private bet number.
How do I know whether my bet was accepted?
Look for a successful placement confirmation, a receipt or bet ID, and the bet inside the account's open or settled history. Items left in the pre-confirmation betslip are not proof of acceptance.
Why does my bet slip say void?
A market rule made the selection non-winning and non-losing, commonly because of a non-participant, abandonment, changed format or another stated condition. Check how the operator treats a void leg inside a multiple.
Why is the final return lower than the potential return?
A void leg, dead heat, deduction, partial cash out or another rule can change the final return. Trace each leg and compare the accepted receipt with the settlement notes.
